More than a thousand people attended yesterday’s Easter Monday Pilgrimage at St Albans Cathedral.
Pilgrims travelled from Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Luton and Barnet, with some walking more than 30 miles to take part in the event.
Many families had a picnic before celebrating Easter with a service in the cathedral.
During the service, the Reverend Lucy Davis preached, while flags bearing the values of St Albans Diocese - “Generosity, Joy, Imagination and Courage” - were placed by the altar.
