With just over a week to go until the Hertfordshire County Council elections, we are reminding you of the candidates running in St Albans.

All 78 seats will be contested on Thursday, May 4, with an additional electoral division created since 2013.

Boundary changes to electoral divisions will take effect at this year’s election following a review by the Local Government Boundary Commission.

All ten St Albans divisions will be contested at the election: Colney Heath and Marshalswick, Harpenden North East, Harpenden Rural, Harpenden South West, London Colney, St Albans Central, St Albans East, St Albans North, St Albans South, and St Stephen’s.

The nominated candidates for each division are as follows.

Colney Heath and Marshalswick: Jahida Begum (Labour), Claudio Duran (Conservative), John Hale (Liberal Democrat), James Lomas (Green), Tina Lomax (UKIP)

Harpenden North East: Paul de Kort (Lib Dem), Lydia El-Khouri (Green), Lester Mackenzie (UKIP), Linda Spiri (Lab), David Williams (Cons)

Harpenden Rural: Annie Brewster (Cons), Sharon Hollingsworth (Lib Dem), John Midgley (UKIP), Anthony Neville (Lab), Ian Troughton (Green)

Harpenden South West: Colin Donald (UKIP), George Fraser (Lab), Teresa Heritage (Cons), Jeffrey Phillips (Lib Dem), Tim Robinson (Green)
