A Watford estate is on lockdown following reports of a man acting suspiciously in the area.
Police were called at 2.17pm today to the Holywell area of Watford.
Officers are currently in the area.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said in a statement: "At 2.17pm today (Thursday) police received a third party report of a man acting suspiciously in the Holywell area of Watford.
"Officers attended the scene and carried out an extensive search of the area, however they did not locate any persons who were a cause for concern.
"Officers are speaking to the member of the public who saw the man to establish the exact circumstances of the incident."
