It’s time to stock up on sun cream and sunglasses as the country is set to be hit with a month-long heatwave.

A south westerly flow from the Azores is making the UK hotter than usual this year, a fortnight into meteorological summer.
However, it is bad news if you have hay fever, as there is expected to be a very high pollen count during the warmer weather.
