A St Albans MP has called on the government to include those living under an airport flight path in a consultation on noise.

Anne Main MP has raised concerns from residents over noise from planes for those living under the Luton Airport flight path.

She is now urging the government to take these concerns into account in their consultation on aviation noise, especially with many airports expected to expand in the coming years.

She said: "We are expanding airports, including Luton, and they are increasingly causing noise problems for residents."

Mrs Main also said that due to Luton's expansion and RNAV, a navigation system which allows planes to fly any desired course to their destinations, there has been a 150 per cent increase in complaints over noise pollution.
