Two older men have been sexually assaulted in what police believe to be linked cases.

On June 6 at around 10.20pm a man in his 60s was touched inappropriately by a man while cycling along Cottonmill Lane, St Albans, near the junction at Prospect Road.

Police believe this is linked to two similar incidents between May 12 and May 23, where a man in his 70s was touched inappropriately along the same road.

In the first of the May incidents the man was touched on his head and shoulder, then touched on his head, shoulder and thigh during the second.

Detective Constable Gareth John said police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who thinks they may know the culprit.

The offender is described as an Asian man in his 30s, of medium build with straight, ear-length, black hair and large front teeth.
