Police officers are searching for three young men they would like to speak to after two schoolgirls were racially abused on a train.

The incident happened on board the 4.07pm London Midland service travelling between St Albans Abbey and Watford Junction on October 12.

At approximately 4.20pm, four young boys were causing a disturbance on board the train. Two of the boys then approached two young school girls and started talking with them.

The girls did not want to speak with the boys who then became “hostile” and racially abused the girls, before then leaving the train at Watford Junction.

The three boys involved are described as being white and approximately 17 to 20 years old.

The first is believed to be 5ft 5ins. He was wearing a blue shirt with a picture of a trainer on it.

The second male is approximately 5ft 7ins and was wearing a grey stripy hoody, believed to be Adidas.

The third male was roughly 6ft and wearing a grey hoody.
