Motorists are currently experiencing long delays and miles of queuing traffic on the M25 following a multi-vehicle smash.

Three lanes out of four Albans are currently closed on the anticlockwise carriageway before J22 for St Albans, with congestion currently backed up to J25 for Enfield.

Highways England is estimating delays of around two hours.

Ambulances are on the scene but as of yet it is unclear just how many vehicles have been involved in the pile-up.

The queues have been exacerbated by another crash further back on the anti-clockwise exit slip road at J23.
