St Albans Bach Choir will be setting the soundtrack to Christmas once again.

The choir will be holding both afternoon and evening Christmas concerts at St Albans Cathedral on December 9.

Come along for lots of Christmas spirit and festivities; taking place in the magical setting of the cathedral with seasonal music and a chance to help local charities.

With something for all the family, there will be a wide variety of music in the concert programme whilst also playing the major works in the choral repertoire.

The afternoon concert will be most enjoyed by youngsters, commencing at 3pm to 4pm with children’s favourite carols.

The afternoon concert will be supporting the charity Charlie’s Gift, based in Hemel Hempstead, which supports local children with health issues, special needs, disabilities, bereavement or poverty.

The evening concert will start at 7pm to 8.30pm, including a variety of carols and seasonal choral classics with Christmas readings.

The charity supported at the evening concert is Herts Musical Memories, which provides support for people with dementia and their carers through music and song. Herts Musical Memories organises weekly singing sessions across Hertfordshire to provide a valuable support network through socialising and group singing.

Musicians Alberti Brass, Michael Papadopoulos, Marnus Greyling and conductor Andrew Lucas will be playing at both concerts.
