An 11-year-old boy raised hundreds of pounds for a children’s ward at a hospital after completing a six hour trampoline challenge.
Olly Munn, from Chorleywood, was inspired to help children spending the festive season at Hillingdon Hospital after he watched Children in Need last month.
He lived streamed his challenge on YouTube on November 25 and was supported by a number of friends who came to watch him in his garden.
Olly raised £300 on his Justgiving page and also received £100 in cash and a collection of books and toys from Tesco in Amersham as well.
His mother Alison explained how he used the money: “He used the £100 cash to buy PS4 games and Bluetooth speakers for the new teenagers’ room as requested by the matron.
“He also gave out toys and sweets to everyone on the wards and left some more toys and books for the nurses to wrap up as gifts to be given on Christmas day. He also gave a big box of Roses to the nurses.
“Olly wanted to help those less fortunate than him who are in hospital over the festive session. It was one of the coldest days of the year but he was encouraged by some friends who visited on the day.”
