A park's users have chosen a new name for it after complaining its old one didn't really fit it.
Ridge Residents Association and Nascot councillors held a poll after complaints that North Watford Playing Fields is not in North Watford, is not a playing field and in fact contains a woodland area.
Orchard Park was chosen as the new name, for the Gammons Lane recreation ground, with 35 per cent of the vote.
The second closest was Nara Wood Park, winning 27.5 per cent of the votes cast, and the option to keep the name as it was received just 13.75 per cent of the votes.
Nascot Councillor Jane Johnson expressed enthusiasm about the renaming of the park.
Cllr Johnson said: āIām pleased the public has selected a new name for this popular park that is much loved by the local community. The area used to contain an orchard and the nearby school also shares the same name.ā
