A new cabinet member for environment has been appointed to Haringey Council.
Cllr Peter Mitchell has been a Labour councillor for Woodside ward since September 2015.
He replaces Cllr Peray Ahmet who stood down from the Cabinet at the start of January.
As cabinet member for environment Cllr Mitchell will oversee services that include parks, enforcement, licensing, parking, refuse and recycling.
Cllr Clare Kober, Leader of the council, said: “Environment is a wide-ranging and important portfolio that our residents very much care about.
“Peter’s diligence, attention to detail and responsiveness will, I’m sure, equip him brilliantly for the position.
“I’m delighted Peter is joining cabinet and welcome him to this new role in Haringey.”
