Next week art and wine connoisseurs will have the opportunity to combine their loves in a seemingly decadent evening on June 14, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

Gallery105, in Victoria Street, have joined forces with Ferenc, owner of Thirty Nine 10 based in George Street, to hold an exclusive evening with opportunity to ‘Smell, Taste and Slurp’ wines from France while surrounded by humorous artwork created by award winning artist Tim Bulmer, who will also be present at the event.

Tim’s work has been displayed nationally and internationally for several years. Artwork will include original paintings, signed limited editions and prints of Bulmer’s work with prices ranging from £25 for prints to £1,200 for an original.

When asked to describe his artistic style, Tim points the same ruthless spotlight at himself as he does at his subjects, saying simply that “a wry observation of life and an unwillingness to take anything seriously” more or less sums up his work, typically forgetting to mention the imagination and artistry that characterises each of his images.

Bulmer’s work will be on exhibition until the end of June at Gallery105.
