Woman injured in three-car crash

A WOMAN had to be taken to hospital after three cars were involved in a crash on the Dunstable Road near Redbourn.

The crash, which involved a black Ford Mondeo, a white Vauxhall Astra and a yellow Volkswagen Passat, happened near the Herts County Showground.

The injured woman, a 28-year-old from Luton, suffered whiplash and was taken to Hemel Hempstead Hospital for treatment. The incident happened at 7.44am on Monday.

A 22-year-old Luton man, Michal Szwed, was charged with driving without insurance and bailed to appear at Central Herts Magistrates Court in St Albans on September 18.
