A PERSON has been killed after being hit by a train between Harpenden and Luton Parkway station.
A Midland Mainline driver raised the alarm at 10am this morning when he noticed body parts on the track at Chiltern Green.
Detectives have confirmed they are now investigating the matter.
A spokesman for First Captial Connect (FCC) said a car was found nearby with a suicide note inside.
He added that a FCC driver reported that he had hit an animal which he believed to be a badger, last night.
As a result all fast trains from London to Bedford were stopped from 10am this morning with slow trains experiencing delays of up to eight minutes each.
