AN AWARD-WINNING mobile benefits advice service for disabled people is back on the road in Hertfordshire.

Thanks to a three-year funding deal with the National Lottery, the advice lorry, run by Hertfordshire Action on Disability and Age Concern, is in action again after eight months.

Newly-engaged benefits advisor Gill Aston, who lives in Welwyn Garden City, previously worked for St Albans District Council.

She said: ""People all over the county flock to see us on the lorry and I'm really impressed at the knowledge of the staff on board."

The lorry, dubbed Olvanhoe, visits town centres and supermarket car parks where disabled and elderly people can try a huge range of equipment for making their lives easier.
