Spurs under no pressure to sell

11:51am Thursday 3rd July 2008

TOTTENHAM are believed to have told Robbie Keane that he will not be leaving for Liverpool.

The club's sporting director Damien Commolli has told the Irishman that he will not allow the striker to leave - unless the deal is too good to refuse.

Having already sold Jermain Defoe and with Darren Bent looking likely to leave for Sunderland, the Spurs board fear they could left red-faced if Keane departs, leaving Ramos facing the task of rebuilding the entire forward line. It would leave just Dimitar Berbatov, and his future at the club remains in the balance.

Spurs are believed to have demanded £10m plus either Dirk Kuyt or Xabi Alonso in a bid to scare Liverpool off.

In May Keane pledged his future to Spurs saying he was happy at the club and was looking forward to spending a summer without being linked with a move away. Spurs fans will be hoping he stays true to his word.

Should the club let Keane go? Who would replace him? Would you be happy to see Defoe, Bent and Keane sold within six months? Tell us below.
