Four-way crash on M1


FIREFIGHTERS were called to a four-way collision on the M1 motorway this morning.

The accident happened between junctions six (north Watford) and seven (M10 Hemel Hempstead) at around 11.15am.

Four crews from St Albans, Garston, Hemel Hempstead and Hatfield's Rescue Support Unit were at the scene along with paramedics.

The crash was said to be a minor incident, which involved four cars shunting into the back of each other.

Some passengers sustained minor injuries, but did not need hospital treatment.

They were attended to by paramedics at the scene.
