Comments (0)A MINI graduation ceremony was held at a Redbourn nursery to celebrate pupils’ ascent from pre-school to primary education.
Donning a gown and mortarboard, five children at Fledglings Nursery were presented with a graduation scroll, a record of achievement and stationery to put in their pencil cases.
The small reception, held at the nursery in Chequer Lane, was attended by proud parents, grandparents, pupils and teachers.
Nursery manager Carol Grimes said: “It was brilliant. The children really enjoyed the ceremony.
“They were a little bit shy and apprehensive at first, but they felt quite special, you could tell.”
The four boys and one girl will be joining primary schools in Redbourn, Hemel Hempstead and Rickmansworth in September.
