AS the Olympic Games come to an end in Beijing, the burning torch will passed to England on Sunday as the official host city.
Across the country 400 Olympic Handover Flags will be raised by councils to mark the occasion and Welwyn Hatfield borough will be no exception.
Young 2012 Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls from the borough will be there along with the England Netball Team.
The flag will be flown at Hertfordshire Sports Village, the de Havilland campus at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield.
Anyone is invited to the event, which begins at 2pm.
Hertfordshire County Council will host a regional event later the same day at 4.30pm at County Hall in Hertford.
