A SCHOOL is lending a hand to an initiative designed to encourage families to get involved in learning together.
The Wycombe Continuing Education Consortium, Kingshill Road, High Wycombe, is contributing to the National Widening Participation scheme.
Booker Hill School, Field Road, High Wycombe, recently held a special assembly when six mothers presented toys, games, cassettes and puppets to help to make story telling and reading come alive for children.
The resources were presented in sacks prepared during a ten-week course at the school, organised by the consortium.
The mums will all receive a certificate and have been recommended for a group award for National Adult Learners in 2001.
