A WELWYN Garden City based charity is to celebrate its golden anniversary with a race night.
The fundraising event for Hertfordshire Action on Disability (HAD) is to mark 50 years of services and support to disabled people.
HAD deliver affordable and practical services to people with disabilities, promoting their independence and well being within the community.
Organiser and HAD supporter Peter Donn said: "HAD is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and this event gives local people a chance to support them and have a bit of fun at the same time."
The event, sponsored by The Best of Welwyn Garden City website, will be held on Friday September 5, with all profits going to HAD.
The eight-race fun event will be held at Woodhall Community Centre, Mill Green Road, Welwyn Garden City from 7pm.
Tickets cost £15 which includes a fish and chip dinner and there will be a licensed bar.Prizes will be given for the best-dressed Stallion and Filly.
