CONTROVERSY has erupted over a psychic who local Catholics believe is being allowed to practice witchcraft at their place of worship.

Members of the All Saints Pastoral Centre were outraged to discover that psychic Amanda Hart will be holding spiritual workshops at the centre in Shenley Lane, London Colney at the end of this month.

They objected to tarot readings, crystal gazing and calling on the spirits within a Roman Catholic Church claiming such practices contradict their religious beliefs.

Front of house manager Elias Papadopoulos said the church had received numerous complaints from its members condemning the practice as ‘incompatible with the Catholic ethos’.

But the professional psychic of Morris Way, London Colney insists her classes are science-based and not intended to impugn the Catholic faith.

“What I aim to do is to take the fear out of the unexplainable. The class is based on science. I’m showing it’s all to do with energy language and based on quantum physics and not mysticism.”

She believes everybody has a hidden psychic ability and her classes are designed to help people unearth it.

The matter has been referred to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster which will decide whether further workshops should be held at the centre.
