Electrical fault causes car fire

A car owner returned to his car in St Albans city centre this evening to find it filled with smoke.
Firefighters from St Albans were called at around 4.30pm today to the blue BMW which was parked at the rear of the Civic Centre.
The owner had been shopping and had returned to find his car smoke locked.
Firefighters forced entry to the vehicle and extinguished the smoulder.
An electrical fault in the dash board is believed to have started the small fire.
No-one is reported as injured.
