CCTV image is released to trace man in connection with Harpenden theft


A CCTV image of a man police are hunting in connection with a Harpenden theft has been released today.

On Thursday, November, 27, the man pictured went into Waitrose in Leyton Road at around 8.50am.

He went to the alcohol display and put bottles of spirits into a basket as well as some cans of lager.

Without making attempts to pay, the thief walked out of the store and made-off in the direction of Luton in a green Vauxhall Astra saloon.

PC Emma Collins, investigating officer at Hertfordshire Police, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may recognise the pictured man or who witnessed the incident to come forward.”
