Hey. Thanks for clicking on my blog. This is hopefully the start of a great relationship between me and you (the reader).
Studying journalism at university has benefited me greatly and to have the chance to write about the topics that interest me is a huge pleasure.
A career in journalism wasn’t really something I had thought about until I started studying the subject at Hertfordshire University. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do in the future.
The thing that interests me most is sports. I love tennis and have played the game since 2000 and it always has a way of making me happy. I’m a fanatical Arsenal fan, have been for as long as I can remember.
So gradually I began to think, “I’m doing well in journalism and my main passion is sports, what if I started to work towards becoming a sports journalist?”
My first taste of sports journalism was a Ryman Football League Division Premier match between Boreham Wood and Carshalton Athletic.
To cut a long story short, it was a poor match, ended 0-0, very cold and one of the most significant days of my life.
It was the day when I realised that sports journalism is what I want to do and I was going to do whatever it takes to get there.
Thanks for reading and I’ll catch up with you soon.
