TEAMS swinging into action at a Redbourn golf course will be on the look out for birdies on the green after 50 nest boxes were placed around the course.
Trees at Redbourn Golf Club have been kitted out with the boxes, on both the 18-hole Ver Course and the short nine-hole Kinsbourn Course.
The groundsmen at the club are aiming to attract more wildlife to the course.
Haydn Drinkwater, course manager at Redbourn said: “The River Ver runs right through the course and we have seen an increase in the sighting of Kingfishers and Little Egrets since we started our project, and we hope to attract more through creating an environment in which they will nest.”
