A ST ALBANS store could have its licence revoked as police say its staff were caught selling alcohol to underage customers.

Chaks Food and Wine in Central Drive, St Albans, received repeated warnings after police allegedly caught staff selling alcohol to children.

Hertfordshire Police have ordered a review of the store's alcohol licence at St Albans Civic Offices tomorrow, which could see it revoked.

A document to be put before a licencing committee states: "It is the view of Hertfordshire Constabulary that Chaks is not a safe premise for the public, posing a significant risk to the safety of young people and the protection of children from harm.

"The increased incidents of youth related alcohol crime and disorder has also posed a significant impact on the quality of life for residents."
