A BURGLAR stole jewellery and computer game equipment from a tiny village on the edge of Harpenden on Tuesday.
A house in East Hyde was broken into between 8am and 3.45pm by a thief who escaped with necklaces, earrings, a Nintendo console, game controllers, and a pair of Gucci sunglasses.
Detective Constable Lynn Adams, said: “It is unusual to get this sort of offence in East Hyde. Because it is such a quiet spot passing motorists, delivery drivers or residents may recall seeing someone acting suspiciously, or an unfamiliar vehicle."
