A TEENAGER who died this week after allegedly attempting to take her own life was a keen archer and held county titles in the sport, the Review can reveal.
Francesca Spelzini, 18, died on Tuesday, three days after it is believed she attempted to take her own life at her home in Parklands Drive, St Albans on Saturday, June 27.
The victim, a pupil at St Albans Girls School in Sandridgebury Lane, was rushed to Watford General Hospital where she remained critically ill for three days but sadly died on Tuesday evening.
Francesca, who competes with the Abbey Bowmen archery club, holds the record for the 'Single Clout' at 100 yards distance.
Police are not treating her death as suspicious and the matter has been handed to the coroner.
