Child sex abuse images found on computer

A 61-year-old man is to be sentenced after horrific child sex abuse images were found on his computer.

Police charged Michael Horlick with possession of 55 images of child sex abuse, of which nine were assessed as level one, depicting the most serious of sexual offences against children. The remainder were made up of 18 level three and 28 level four images.

Horlick, of Hatfield Road, St Albans, pleaded guilty at Hatfield Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 24.

Magistrates committed Horlick to the crown court for sentence due to the gravity of the offences.

Bail conditions prohibit him owning or using a computer, or other equipment capable of storing, receiving or transmitting an image, without permitting monitory officers to enter premises where they are kept. The condition excludes Horlick's place of work.

Horlick is expected to be sentenced by the end of the month.
