A HARPENDEN nursery has been judged outstanding for the “excellent” experience it provides for its children.
Artisans Kindergarten was visited by Ofsted inspectors who commented on how the “excellent adult support interests and absorbs the children” and said the “children's individuality is treasured and encouraged.”
Headteacher Ruth Martin said: “We are delighted with the result, it is a testament to the skill and dedication of all the teachers and our cook, as well as to the endlessly delightful curiosity of children and their enthusiasm for new experiences.”
The nursery in Aldwickbury Crescent has also recently applied for a Government grant to boost their plans for an outdoor classroom. Mrs Martin has said this report has reinforced all the reasons for wanting to improve their facilities.
