A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a horse.
Paramedics were called to a field behind Hatfield County Club, in Essenden, after reports the rider had fallen at around 1.36pm today (Sunday).
Ambulance crews from Welwyn Garden City and Hertford attended the scene.
Gary Sanderson, East of England Ambulance Service representative, said: “Due to the injury the woman received and the location of the incident, an air ambulance was deployed to assist in the treatment of the patient.
“Following stabilisation by paramedics and the air crew medics, she was airlifted to Queen's Hospital in Romford with a head injury."
