RESIDENTS in Panshanger are being urged to be extra vigilant following a spate of vandalism on cars when aerials were stolen.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has revealed four crimes which took place on the same night in one area.
On Friday, July 10, from 7.45pm until the next morning, the aerials off four cars were stolen from Wellington Drive.
On Monday, July 13, a Volkwagen Polo parked in Barndicott had its windscreen wipers taken off.
Detective Inspector Neil Ballard said: “The sort of damage caused to these vehicles, particularly the ones where aerials have been stolen, appear to be random and pointless acts of vandalism.
“Vandals need to be aware that causing malicious damage to property is a criminal offence.”
