WEST Hertfordshire Primary Care Trust is investigating a complaint into its out of hours GP service.
Lisa Lloyd of Lattimore Road, Wheathampstead, sent an angry letter to the trust after a doctor misdiagnosed her seven-year-old daughter with swine flu, but it turned out she had a burst appendix.
Susan Parker, spokeswoman for the West Hertfordshire PCT, said: “The PCT has received a complaint letter from Mrs Lloyd and has asked Herts Urgent Care, which runs the overnight and weekend GP service, to investigate as a matter of urgency.
“Herts Urgent Care takes all complaints seriously and will investigate this case thoroughly following the standard NHS complaints procedure.”
