STAFF at a Welwyn construction company will be taking part in a campaign to save thousands of lives by giving blood.
A mobile donation service will be visiting Morgan Ashurst in Shire Park from Tuesday, September 29, until Thursday, October 1.
The firm's employees and residents are being encouraged to take to the donor's chair to help the National Blood Service build up its reserves ahead of the suspected swine flu pandemic this autumn.
It is feared the H1N1 virus currently sweeping the globe will put further pressure on the service as anyone affected by the disease would be unable to donate.
Donors can attend from 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4pm on September 29 and 30, and from 10am to 2.30pm on October 1.
To book an appointment call 0300 1232323, quoting reference 016, or just turn up.
