RESIDENTS have the chance to learn about the work of a children's hospice as it throws open its doors to the public.
Keech Cottage Children's Hospice in Great Bramingham Lane, Luton, which takes patients from the district, will be inviting local residents in to see its facilities and meet staff and volunteers.
This is part of the national Children's Hospice Week, which includes a number of events designed to break down misconceptions about what life is like inside a hospice.
Each year, Keech Cottage cares for about 200 children and families from across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and the surrounding area, free of charge.
The hospice will be open to visitors aged 16 and over on Friday, September 25, from 10am to 7pm.
