A St Albans woman who lost her mother and father to cancer in a matter of weeks is holding a coffee morning to raise vital funds for charity.
Kathryn Crossley will be welcoming people into her home in Homewood Road for a cuppa on Tuesday, November 3, as part of a nationwide campaign to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support.
Her parents Harold and Eva Bradshaw lost their battles with the disease, just 17 days apart, in 2000.
Kathryn said: “This was devastating to my family.
We were helped through the worst times by the MacMillan Nurses who gave comfort, support and good advice."
A variety of stalls selling home made cakes, soaps, jams, chutney, gifts and jewellery will be among the attractions at the event.
The morning gathering will be held between 9am and midday and an evening sale between 7.30 and 9.30pm at 32 Homewood Road.
