St Albans school pupil dies of meningitis


A STUDENT at Beaumont School in St Albans has died from meningitis, a parent has revealed.

The year 10 pupil is believed to have died at the weekend.

A parent of one of the pupils at the school in Oakwood Drive, said: "It has been a shock for quite a few of the children."

The source, who did not want to be named, said parents had received more information from the school about the illness and its warning signs.
