Double tragedy for St Albans school

A SECOND Beaumont School pupil has died suddenly.

The 16-year-old boy died after falling ill at his home, in Beechwood Avenue, St Albans, this morning.

The year 12 pupil was taken to the QEII Hospital but nothing could be done to save him.

The news comes at the end of a tragic week for the school in Oakwood Drive, St Albans.

Liam Woods, a year 10 pupil, died of meningitis on Tuesday.

Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson denied there was a link between the two deaths.

A memorial assembly will be held at the school on Monday.

Chinni was everyone's friend, his passing is a great loss to the school, and the town in general, in what is proving to me a very tragic year for the youth of St. Albans. He was italian, so my tribute to him is in italian...

I am not sure quite what to say what a shock for everybody, my sympathies to all the family and friends of the children. My child only left Beaumont last year a very good school.
