St Albans MP: "First Capital Connect bosses are listening"

TRAIN bosses are eager to improve the service they provide, MP Anne Main said after managing director Neal Lawson met passengers at St Albans City station.

Speaking after the event on Friday evening, she said: "“Hundreds of people stopped to vent their anger. This was completely understandable considering the huge problems over the last few months.

"Management seemed flexible on compensation, and I hope they will heed calls for a better package for commuters.

"This will be key if they are to rebuild the trust of passengers.

"There were many other niggles which I hope FCC staff will consider and respond to. I must admit the team seemed anxious to sort things out, and this is all the more pressing if FCC are intent on trying to retain the franchise.

Neal Lawson agreed to come again for another meet the managers session over the summer, and I think this would be valuable.

"The company have admitted that they have failed to communicate with customers in the past and they must do everything they can to prevent this debacle happening again.”
