ST ALBANS band Friendly Fires is up for two gongs at this year's Brit awards.
The indie electro group has been nominated for Best British group and best British breakthrough act, competing with stars such as Pixie Lott, JLS and La Roux.
The band was formed when its members, Ed MacFarlane, Jack Savidge and Edd Gibson, met at St Albans School at the age of 14.
Winners of each category will be announced during the ITV1 live show on Tuesday, February 16.
