A TODDLER had to be rescued by firefighters this afternoon when he became locked inside his new St Albans home.
One crew from St Albans fire station dashed to Dubrae Close at around noon where they rescued a two-year-old boy who had become stuck inside his home.
Firefighter Darren Bassil, who attended the incident, said his parents were moving furniture into their new home when the front door slammed on the little boy trapping him inside.
Unable to break into the house, the parents called in fire crews who smashed a panel in the front door to gain entrance.
Firefighter Bassil said the little boy soon overcame his tears once reunited with his parents.
