CCTV images have been released of a man police would like to speak to in connection with a robbery in Welwyn Garden City.
A woman was walking along Marsden Green when a man approached her from behind and pushed her to the ground before snatching her bag.
The carrier bag contained a purse and a sum of cash. The victim suffered slight injuries in the attack on Monday, March 1.
The suspect, who made off in an unknown direction, is a white man with short light coloured hair. The victim recalled that he was wearing a white hooded top.
Investigating officer PC Dan Harman said: “I would like to reassure the public that crimes of this nature do not occur often in Welwyn Garden City.
"However, this was an extremely unpleasant experience for the victim and we are keen to identify the offender as quickly as possible.
“We want to speak to the man in the CCTV. It may be that he has information that could help with our enquiries."
Anyone with information is asked to call the incident room on 0845 33 00 222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
