A PUB chain based in Park Street has been named as one of the best large business to work for in Britain.
The Orchid Group, which runs 290 pubs across the country from its office in Park Mill, Park Street, appears at 20 in the Sunday Times Best 25 Big Companies to work for.
Chief executive Rufus Hall said: "People are the heartbeat of our business and we ensure their well being comes first. We have a strong family atmosphere at Orchid and look after our people as individuals. We make sure talents are nurtured and career goals achieved whilst also keeping fun high on the agenda.
“We’re thrilled to be one of the first managed pub retailers to be ranked in the Top 20 and hope to build on our current platform to rank even higher up the list next year.”
In a survey, 84 per cent of staff said they had fun working together and 68 per cent said managers were great role models.
