THE finance manager at Harpenden Building Society has been promoted to the board in recognition of recent success.
Carl Astley has been appointed finance director at the town's building society, which has experienced double digit increases in mortgage lending in each of the last two years.
Chief executive Paul Marsden said: “Carl has been a key member of our senior management team for over three years. He has helped guide the society through some turbulent economic conditions, helping ensure that HBS remains strong. This promotion reflects the importance of Carl’s role within our society.”
