MORE than £2,000 has been raised for Sport Relief through generous donations from shoppers at Sainsbury's in St Albans.

This weekend staff at the Everard Close store will be coming together to auction a signed England t-shirt in a bid to gather even more cash for the charity.

Simon Skegg, manager at the St Albans branch, is urging people to support the cause by placing a bid for the silent auction for which winners will be announced on Sunday, March 31.

So far a total of £2,340 has been raised and sealed bids with contact details can be left at the customer services desk.
