Burglars cut through roof of Welwyn Garden City shop

THIEVES broke into a newsagent and sub-post office in Welwyn Garden City last night by audaciously cutting through the roof.
Police are examining CCTV images to establish how many intruders were involved and quite how they opened a hole in the roof of Huttons in Marsden Road, but say the break-in occurred between 11.40pm and 11.50pm.
The shop's alarm went off immediately, forcing the crooks to flee empty-handed.
