THE company which supplies water to Hertfordshire, Hatfield-based Veolia Water Central, has appointed a new boss.

Richard Bienfait, formerly chief finance officer, now has the top job of managing director at the firm, which supplies water to 3.2 million homes and businesses across six counties and two London boroughs.

He said: "Moving forward, we will be focussed on raising our performance so we can be recognised as the best water company in the country.

"Being the best not only means we aim to become more efficient, but we put our customers first in everything we do."

Veolia Water Central, formerly Three Valleys Water, is the largest supply-only company in Britain, and based in Tamblin Way, Hatfield.
