WORKERS at John Lewis are celebrating after their bonuses were announced in the Welwyn Garden City store this morning.
The store chain's employees, known as "partners", will get 15 per cent - nearly eight weeks' pay - added to their salaries thanks to successful results in the year ending January 30, 2010.
Sales across the chain rose 6.5 per cent to £7.4 billion, while profit is up 9.7 per cent to £306.6 million.
Chairman Charlie Mayfield said: “Partners have shown tremendous commitment during changing times. I am therefore delighted that our partners will share fairly in the financial rewards of a successful year."
